Lance Armstrong steps down as Livestrong chairman [VIDEOS].
International Cycling Union (UCI) officials are set to announce their
decision about the fate of Lance Armstrong. The UCI will impose a life
ban on Armstrong and strip him of his seven Tour de France titles on the
basis of a US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) report.
Armstrong said he is stepping down as chairman of the board of
directors of LiveStrong, the non-profit cancer organization he founded.
"My
duties will transfer to Vice Chairman Jeff Garvey who will serve as
chairman," Armstrong said in a release put out by the foundation.
His announcement comes a week after the United States Anti-Doping Agency made public its evidence in a doping case against him. Go here to read more and to see the videos
